What is In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI)?

We use “in-vehicle infotainment” or “IVI” to describe the integrated in-car entertainment and information system demanded by car-buyers today. Features and applications usually include:

  • Rear-seat entertainment (movies, games, TV, social networking, and more)
  • Navigation
  • Radio and/or CD
  • Location-based services
  • Internal connectivity to mobile devices
