Hadoop provides a scalable, open-source platform to process data in a distributed manner. Designed to work using commodity hardware, Hadoop implementations typically use 1 GbE (Gigabit Ethernet) interconnects.Due to advances in 10GBASE-T technology, faster interconnects are now more affordable.
